What's Up Today

  

        I’ll bet many of us frequently offer up the breezy question: What’s up? … without really considering the impact those two, small words can hold! We toss them off without really thinking about them. Consider… for some people today will hold the last breath they will ever take as their lives end. For others, it will be the first breath of a life they have yet to live. Many of us will be making decisions that will probably make little differences in our lives, while some of us will be faced with choices that may change our lives forever.

 An unknown demand....

Who would have thought that an intrusion into a 24-hour segment of our lives might become so important! Nevertheless, even a throw-away day given over to fun and games can hold an unknown demand we did not know was coming.

What favor may be coming our way....

It would seem that wisdom would tell us to regard every coming day as the most important of our lives, for we can never know what gift or challenge may be presented to us. What favor may be coming our way and pass us by if we’re not noticing? If we are needed and asleep on the job, what might be lost by our lack of presence?

Apparently every day needs us, even in the smallest ways. Growing love must be shared, for lost love, even the tiniest amount, may become a terrible waste.
