A New Beginning

Often I have said that the sun takes no notice of how many times the earth circumnavigates its orb, nor does the moon care about how resplendent its light shines upon the earth during its monthly cruise around our little planet. It is we who use these dates, these passages, to hold meaning in our lives, most especially perhaps the very first day of a new year!

An ideal time...

January 1st seems to be an ideal time to bind up the successes and failures of the past year, let them fly from us, and begin to negotiate a new stream of ideas and possibilities. We seem to like the distinction a new calendar year gives us. In the northern climes winter is upon us, and the dark, shortened days invite us to look inward to what may need or want our attention.

A glimmer of light...

Is it time to examine our lives to see if something needs changing? Have we been spending too much time on something that seems to be going nowhere? Is there a glimmer of light inside us that wants more space and attention?

Turn a new corner...

If we are to live our lives all our lives, we may need to take more notice of new shifts that may be overdue for thought and action, and what better time to turn a new corner than when the earth turns one also!!
