Taking the long look

We are so tech savvy in the United States that just about everything we do can  be done swiftly and in an abbreviated form.  We hardly have to think about seeing anything completed when it comes to technological activities.  Just push the “go” button, and the cycle begins and works to completion. Would that everything worked so efficiently!  There are, however, some things that need time and thought to begin with before a cycle can be completed.

A certain amount of gestation...

Ideas, for instance, usually need a certain amount of gestation before we can experience an outcome.  Not all things have a prescribed, instantaneous completion.  Some things, as we know, must be tended, guided and cared for before we can anticipate a possible outcome, such as child rearing.  It, of course, takes years and great love when bringing up a child before we can see its unfoldment come to pass before our eyes.

 "A long look".....

Therefore, when things need time and tending, we will need the effort and clarity to develop a “long look,” a wisdom to know that some things must have what they need to become what their destinies demand, and this will require a long, patient ability to let a “becoming” take place.  Yet, there are great rewards in being part of a lengthy unfolding.  Consider how wonderful and unique it is to watch something beautiful come into being, such as a lovely work of art!
