On Christmas

We may or may not follow the traditional Christian beliefs in a special, singular spiritual master who filled the role of substitutionary atonement for a sinful humankind, but there are also special themes at Christmastime that can hold great meanings for all.

We think of new life and new birth...

At this time of year, we think of new life and new birth, where we can inwardly consider an opportunity to sweep away “old stuff” and let new possibilities emerge for us. It is a perfect time. Christmas involves the gift-giving attitude which can also free us to think of what the gift of ourselves can mean to others. Shortly we will be welcoming a new year as well…another chance for renewal as we enter 2019.

The choices are ours!...

If we choose, we can use these closing days of 2018 to reflect on what took place, what we may need to forgive and release, and what may need another look. As always…the choices are ours!
