We have it in us...
I write this to assure us that we have it in us to taste joy, no matter how difficult or sorrowful the occasion, and it is greatly worth the effort to draw our attentions together and call out joy, especially when it seems nowhere to be found. If we are truly “spiritual beings living a human life,” as Wayne Dyer used to say, then we can expect joy to show up anywhere if we but make the move to allow it.

Actually I think that there is a form of redemption in us whenever we remember that, no matter what comes or goes, joy is never far behind. It may be in the soft hand of comfort offered by someone who cares for us. It may be in the right word spoken. Yes, joy is present. We simply need to be open to it.
