The Orderly Mind

Not enough can be said for thinking clearly. We already know that if we go off upset and scattered, we will create outcomes that reflect our mindsets. We will set off actions that can only reflect where we find ourselves mentally. The obvious solution, when, would be “set our minds” to clear thinking and clear knowing.

Are we ready to engage in the day's demands?.....

We do this by paying attention to our inner selves. For instance, are we ready to engage in the day’s demands? Have we done some preparatory work, such as prayer or meditation, to make sure our mental processes are harmonious and orderly? If we find that our thoughts are jumbled and disordered, we would be wise to wait until they are under our control. I cannot say enough about setting our minds in order before we enter the day’s activities, if this is at all possible, for we know that our inner activity always affects our outer behaviors, and we usually cannot hide this.

Bring a healed, revealed self.....

Let us, then, remember that we are truly mind-body beings, each segment of us always influencing the other. It is well worth the effort to make sure we bring a healed, revealed self into the world each day, especially as we know that our moods affect what goes on around us
