I believe I can fly

There is a popular song out by the imaginative name of “I believe I can fly,” which I find innovative and smile inducing. Obviously a delightful metaphor, it fits the bills for us in many ways. Certainly we can take off in an airplane, but even more challenging we can unhinge our imaginations so that we can soar to magnificent heights through the use of ideas. The question is: How often are we asking our minds to let go of our everydayness and let ourselves be lifted to things we may not have considered before?

Possibilities  are endless...

Is it troublesome to spend a little time in the imagination, dreaming perhaps of possibilities we could actually explore? So what if we are hesitant about pushing out some of our boundaries? So what if we should fall short in our efforts at times? Possibilities are endless, and there is always another one coming along.

  A divine element in us...

We may be human beings, but I believe there is a divine element in us that is always open to a larger part of ourselves that we may be overlooking. If the mind we use is the Mind of God, let’s consider what may be in store for us that we have not investigated. There is a constant “itch” in us that may need scratching. Maybe we should get busy and satisfy it! Maybe we should be open to where flights will take us!
