Is it time this morning? Time for what, you ask? Time to take care of what lies in front of us! Most of us will admit, I think, that there is a least one timely task that needs our attention and has probably needed it for awhile. What is it that manifests this perverse tendency in us to put off handling what is ours to do? Do we fear it? Dislike it? Think we can’t manage it? Or do we just feel like evading responsibility? Well, no matter… we might just as well get a grip and simply take care of the business at hand, which almost always is way less problematical in fact than in contemplation!
Verve, vigor and vitality…
There are, of course, those of us who attack everything at hand with verve, vigor and vitality, but there are many more of us who harbor that little “hesitancy” when something new confronts us. Shall we examine it? Interpret it? Determine to understand it? Or just plain get on with things? I opt for the latter. Entirely too much of our precious time is spent in self contemplations that don’t go very far, and when the days of our lives become fewer, there are mighty good reasons for not demurring any longer than necessary!
Whatever… In other words, let’s just do it!
